Laveda complains about Tayo’s ‘bullying game’

Posted By : Admin on Thursday | 23:24

Thursday

While in the Diary room for her Diary this afternoon, Tanzanian beauty Laveda unusually looked perturbed which made Biggie to ask her what the matter was. The former HoH told Biggie that something happened last night between her and Tayo elaborating that the Nigerian rep had bullied her.

“He bullied me and then pretended that it’s a joke. Come on, I know what a joke is,” an angry Laveda spilled. She went on saying that Tayo felt like the boss in the house and that he seems to like shouting and acting loud just to intimidate others.

Biggie apologized and assured her that everybody in the Big Brother house was equal to the other stressing that he has her back and would make sure that no one is intimidated and where need rises, he’ll intervene.

One wonders where this alleged bullying game will end but whichever way it is, we hope it doesn’t get out of hand.

Tayo at peace witheverybody

“Being at peace with everybody gives me great joy,” Tayo shared with Big Brother during his Diary Session this afternoon referring to the fact that after apologizing to the likes of JJ, Alusa and all housemates in general yesterday had brought peace to his inner self.
The Nigerian lad said staying in the Big Brother house for almost two weeks had helped in discovering himself more and realized that life is more fulfilling when one is at peacewith everyone.
Tayo who has become a topic of discussion in the house and on the outside seems to be rubbing some housemates if not all up the wrong way as some of them won’t stop complaining about his alleged ill behavior during their discussions and in the Diary Room.

Meanwhile, today Biggie has been asking housemates what they made of his apology, JJ shared that he felt it was genuine but if at all he didn’t mean it then he’s talented as an actor. Laveda differed and said that she didn’t buy it as some housemates are capable of doing anything for the sake of the game.

DJ Twist set for the Big Brother Channel O party this Friday

Posted By : Admin on Wednesday | 21:11

Wednesday

Jose Joao, better known as DJ Twist sprightly host of The Empty Fridge on Fresh FM is set to fire up the turn tables at Friday night’s famous Channel O party. Representing Namibia this week, DJ Twist is elated to have been invited to herd this sheep of party-hungry Hotshots, and after last Friday's thrills and spills this was a party we didn't want to miss.
We caught up with the electrifying MC and jockey for a quick catch up.
Well versed in various musical genres DJ Twist expressed a soft-spot he has for old school music. This seems to be a growing trend amongst DJ’s and musicians. That being said however, he love giving the crowd what they want which is often the latest and freshest.
From a young and tender age Twist has always been an entertainer but was set to follow in the producer-footsteps of his father and even considering embarking on an upright path as a lawyer. Boy are we glad the lad came to his senses and headed for a radio station to pursue music. He has since been serving Namibia the finest of dance tunes.
His musical influences include DJ’s Bantu Soul, Euphonik, Kent and jazz pianist Bob James for texture. With all these layers the housemates are in for a party like no other.
Twist reckons he’d do well as a housemate but figures Luis and Permithias are a good pair to represent Namibia.
We look forward to a stellar set by DJ Twist at the Channel O party on Friday night.

Housemates win thier second 100% wager

After wining the first full 100% wager last week, the hotshots went again to show their confidence in their talents and wagered 100% yet gain with Big Brother.
This week’s task  was about the modern dance battle. Like last week, this week housemates were required to  split into two teams; thank God that this week it was  not biased. We  had the blue team and the green team aka the zombies. In a  battle, each team at a time had to present their dance. All  happy and excited, the  green team  took the dance floor first and shook their bodies like there is no tomorrow.
After the green team’s presentation, it was the blue team’s moment and with ladies like Esther and Goitse, expect the best from them… I wouldn’t want to play judge but the fact is that, they nailed it.  At this particular juncture, what was left was Biggie’s conclusive statement. Yes of course,  they impressed him and he  had to let the 100%% wager out of his store. This has been the hotshots’ second 100% wager secured and they look very confident to retreat.
Congratulations to the hotshots….Which team rocked the dance battle?

LILIAN PISSED WITH TAYO

The second wager has just been completed and the theme was modern dance .They split into two teams (Red team and Blue team). As usual the battle rolled in the house but Nigerian representatives Tayo and Sheilla shocked housemates when they engaged into a disagreement when they the entire house was celebrating their victory for earning 100%  after  their presentation today.
Lilian got pissed at Tayo’s stopping the drum roar to give the rest room to shin too coz his tired of being a topic . He said  he has realized that they are all equal in this house and he is tired of  apologizing to Africa for bad did’s”s but rather  keep it cool with the rest .It seems Tayos supremacy is deteriorating.

Permithias Added, Nine On Block!

Posted By : Admin on Tuesday | 20:54

Tuesday

Following the  erroneous  omission of Permithias from the Nominee  list yesterday evening, fans’ complaints went viral during the past 24  hours asking Biggie and his organisers to rectify the problem for a fair treat among countries. M-Net this afternoon released a press statement acknowledging the error and promised to correct it. It was therefore decided that the online voting be closed and the  already -in-votes be cancelled by the  auditors. The statement went ahead to say that the Nominee read would be re-done  this evening to the Housemates  and Africa.
With all housemates gathered in the lounge, Big Brother told them about the big error made in the revelation of the nominees yesterday. He told them that a housemate’s name was left out  which called for  the cancellation of the  votes that had come in already to make it fair for all housemates. He then read the final list and in alphabetical order were, Esther, Frankie, JJ, Laveda, Lilian, Permithia, Sabina and Tayo. He again let them know that the HOH has the power to add one Housemate to make the final list of Housemates up for eviction.
Called to the Diary room for her add decision, HOH Samatha did not make any change regarding her yesterday’s decision. She kept Ellah’s name as her add decision making the final list as Ellah, Esther , Frankie, JJ, Laveda, Lilian, Permithias and Tayo for  possible eviction.
You can now start voting to keep  your favorite housemates in the game.

‘Sheillah is part of my strategy’ – Nhlanhla

South African Hotshot Nhlanhla dropped a bomb in the Diary room this afternoon when he revealed to Biggie about his game and strategy with Sheillah being part of the latter.
“Sheilla is part of my strategy,” he said. This seems to have intrigued Big Brother who continued ‘interrogating’ him about this ‘strategy’ that involved Sheillah. The young lad revealed that he thinks Sheillah has put her in her strategy and thus he was just returning the favor stressing that this didn’t in anyway put their ‘relationship’ in jeopardy.
Nhlanhla also told Biggie that he gets a long well with Sheillah and she helps him get to know more about other housemates because she’s outspoken.
It’s Day 9 and week 2 of the reality show and it seems housemates have started unleashing their ‘strategies’ but we hope this particular one doesn’t back-fire.

Nominations and reactions from all over Africa

This week’s nominees are down to just eight from last week’s 25, a huge relief to the housemates, Africa and the voters probably. Two Hotshots; Mira and Resa are out already, one wonders how many will be leaving Biggie’s house this Sunday.
This week, Rwanda’s Frankie, Zim’s JJ, Tanzania’s Laveda, Kenya’s Sabina, Uganda’s Ellah and Esther as well as Nigeria’s Lilian and Tayo made it to the dreaded nomination list. So Permithias didn’t make this list after gunning 6 nominations? Hmmm…
By the look of things, Uganda and Nigeria will have to double their voting efforts if at all they are ensure that non of their reps is kicked out come Sunday but it seems these two countries are great danger of losing at least a Hotshot. The two nations will also need the help of other countries in this struggle.
As usual this got passionate Africa talking, from the fans’ comments, it’s clear who they want in and out, read on to see their feed back.
Mwila Mwansa · Luanshya

Luis: ‘I can make Mira’s dreams come true’

Prior to Mira’s eviction last Sunday, she had formed a strong bond with fellow Hotshot Luis and the two had also developed a strong liking for each other something that caused ‘emotional’ pain to Luis when the Mozambican beauty was booted.
During his first Diary since her exit, Luis opened up to Biggie saying that they had talked about the future and how she wanted to win the money so that she could realize her dreams. Luis stressed that he was hurt by her eviction but shared with Biggie that he’s going to do all it takes to win the money so that he helps her achieve her dreams.
“I can make her dreams come true if I win the money,” he confessed. From this statement it seems Luis is ready to ‘share’ the money with Mira should he win it.
Luis continued letting out his heart to Biggie on how he felt about Mira and how he misses her. “It’s been a while since I last felt strong about someone,” he stated.
He however said that Mira’s eviction is something he’s going to use to push on because he’s sure she would want him to be strong and win the game.

Idris Loses it on Goitse

Idris in the diary room last night let biggie know of a romantic date that he was putting up for Goitse .To Goitse things seem to be moving so fast than she expected.
They took a moment and parted from the rest of the housemates, laying in the couch which looked like the moment was an intimate between the two. Idris argued with Goitse about  grooming her nails which sparked off Goitse’s nerves and she admitted to him saying she was an independent woman not to be ordered or pushed around by any body.
Feeling abandoned Idris run to Samantha and Butterphly for a feminine perspective then to Nhlanla and luis to validate
his feelings of rejection .
The Tanzanian male representative on the launch day said he come in the house for the girls but Goitse is leading him on and playing a really bad game on him.

NIGERIA AND UGANDA IN DANGER AS THEIR REPS HIT THE BLOCK

We have always been telling you that the game is on but the real game started on Sunday with the very first eviction and Nominations thereafter.
From the nominations and final Head Of Household add decision, the final names of housemates up for week two’s eviction were released. Esther, Frankie, JJ, Laveda, Lilian, Sabina and Tayo being the initial nominees, HOH Samantha added Ellah to the list making a total of eight housemates on the block from whom at least one will head home come Sunday.
With just 13 participating countries, in a few days moved, Uganda and Nigeria have been the first to taste the hottest seat of the hotshots with both their housemates on the edge! Yeah, hottest, you might think of Zambia and Mozambique who have already lost a housemate but Nigeria and Uganda are likely to lose both!
With 8 Housemates on the block and 13 countries voting plus the Rest of Africa vote, there is going to be a big battle for the votes. The 8 countries will have to save their housemates first and for those having two on the block, it will be bloody. I wouldn’t want to speculate that it will be among the four housemates to leave on Sunday but sharing their country votes induces one to think about it.
Let’s talk about the battle for the country votes between Ellah with Esther and Lilian with Tayo. Last week it was the same thing because except Tanzania which had only Idris on the block, the other countries had both reps in danger and this implied a small winning margin even people without a country vote managed to stay.
This time round it’s a different story and some votes across Africa will go to favorite housemates leaving me worried for Nigeria and Uganda. It’s hard to know who from these four housemates will win their country votes because of different personalities and different country tastes. Uganda’s Esther is outgoing and but still it doesn’t leave the self centred Ellah. Lilian is one housemate you would call for entertainment and so is Tayo. This makes it tough for the Nigerians but all will be known on Sunday.
How do you think Africa will decide?

Mira Also Leaves The Hotshots!!

Posted By : Admin on Sunday | 21:32

Sunday

After saying good bye to Zambia’s Resa as the fist hotshot to get evicted  from the Big Brother house, Africa’s votes also decided to send Mira from Mozambique home.
Leaving her beau Luis and country man Macky2 still battling for  the $300,000, Mira has become the second housemate to leave the game out of the 26 who entered a week ago. This now leaves the  journey to 24 housemates planing for the grand prize.
In her chat with host IK on the Live eviction stage, she said that it was a good feeling to be in the house and she was grateful for  the opportunity though at the same time she feels good to be outside the house. ” I miss my family and my phone,” Mira said.
About Luis, she said he’s an amazing guy she has ever met and  she likes him as she watched their kissing  video clip. And about her kiss with Nhlanhla, all she had to was….he’s my brother!
We going to miss Mira  and …..we wish the best to Mira in all her endeavors.

In our heads, the questions remains which housemate is leaving tonight?

They entered the house, they became one family, they sang, they danced, they coupled, they loved……….But we are to see them getting parted tonight….
Now that the show has  been running for six full days, here we come with a heart pounding Bloody day in the Big Brother game. Sunday with its eviction does nothing good to the housemates. At  the opening of the show, we saw a very big twist that saw Laveda becoming the very first HOH as the rest of the Housemates hit the block to face the eviction gallows.
For the past days, tension has been in the house with housemates worrying about their stay after the first Sunday  Live Eviction. It’s normal and their job to worry as it is Africa’s job to keep them in the house. Africa has been voting to save their housemates and  at the end of the day, we’ll know  who will get the first boot from the Hotshots game.
With voting lines closed at 6:00, votes are already in and at least a certain number of  people are going home TONIGHT. Let’s see who it/they will be. With some identifying Mozambique’s English troubled  Trezagah as  the weakest link in the house , I would like to differ from them. Africa is one community that can shower you with Big surprises especially when it comes to  voting for who should stay in the Big Brother House. They normally keep  people you don’t expect, that’s why I always say,”Expect the Unexpected” when it comes to Big Brother Africa.
Who do you think will be going home tonight and which team will Africa vote for immunity from the Nominations?….All is happening tonight.

Luis Quits Lilian and Hots Mira!

Posted By : Admin on Friday | 08:34

Friday

It looks like Luis couldn’t bear the one sided affair he was launching for Nigeria’s Lilian, he is now exploring Mira!
Following his revelation in diary session on Day 3, Luis is seems to be falling for another girl. Yesterday he told Biggie that he had been increasingly developing a strong thing for  Lillian but realised that she was not the same about him and that their friendship would not develop further. He then said that he would be focusing on his game moving on and making sure that he gave off his best.
Today Luis seems to be getting closer and closer with Mira. In fact after Sheilla’s intervention as cupid, the two ended up sharing a bed, cuddled like star-crossed lovers yesterday. And we can’t help but wonder if Luis did not steal a kiss from that moment…
Today Mira walked over to sit herself next to Luis and placed her one leg on top of him. Their physical interaction developed and soon the couple had their arms wrapped around each other, whispering sweet-nothings. Things seem to be getting serious from the look and sound of things. Luis was heard affirming that he was now feeling better when Mira asked him how he was doing. Could it have been that it was because he was next to her?
Soon after the couple started talking about evictions and Luis expressed his confidence that she isn’t going anywhere and Mira reciprocated the same faith that he would also stay on the show. Luis caressed her back as he said, “We are going to make this work no matter what happens on Sunday”. To this Mira responded by stroking his face and getting closer to him.
If we are to go with how things are unfolding, we might be welcoming the “Luira”(Luis and Mira) to the lovers’ board….what do you think?

Big Brother Africa Hotshots maintains usual hype

IT was a night of fun and of course lots of glitz and glamour at The Big Brother Africa (BBA) Hotshots launch on October 5 at The Whippet in Linden, Johannesburg, South Africa.

After the unexpected burning down of the former BBA house also located in Johannesburg, viewers and audiences were naturally eager to see how this new venue would turn out and with no doubt Big Brother did not disappoint.
The usual presenter, Ik Osakioduwa, popularly known as Ik, introduced audiences to this year’s edition with a stunning cabaret performance of the official Big Brother theme song. It was splendid, well curated and off course something audiences never expected.
During the launch show for the first time ever, all 26 housemates were given one-minute slots to showcase their talents live on stage. It was something new and exciting.
Each and everyone in the audience had an opportunity to score each performance with any mark between 1 and 100, which also made the whole night worth the while for everyone present.
As a way of connecting audiences with the housemates through the talent show, Big Brother further explained that it was a way to come up with the housemate who scored highest, making them Head of House who would be the ONLY housemate not up for eviction this coming Sunday.
With a wonderful saxophone performance Tanzania’s Laveda got the top score beating the top 6 who included Kenya’s Sabina, Ghana’s M’am Bea, Nigeria’s Lillian, Rwanda’s Arthur and Zimbabwe’s own, JJ. Her win thus meant that she would be the only one not in danger of going home after this coming Sunday’s eviction.
As usual at BBA launches, award-winning musicians from Nigeria, Tanzania and South Africa also took the stage with their various musical talents.
Nigeria’s multiple award-winning superstars Davido who is already well known across Africa for a number of hits like DamiDuro, Aye and Skelewu did what he knew best leaving the crowd screaming for more.
Other performers included Tanzania’s Bongo Flavor recording artiste, Diamond, who also performed before at one of Big Brother Stargame’s previous eviction shows, South African hip hop musician Cassper Nyovest known for his smashing hit Doc Shebeleza and the Nigerian-born Emmy Gee featuring AB Crazy and DJ Dimplez.
Audiences were welcomed with a red carpert entrance and the show was full of life. As usual BBA Hotshots was aired live from 7pm on Africa Magic, Africa Magic Entertainment, Africa Magic World as well as on DStv channel 197 and 198.
However, as the show goes on Zimbabwean audiences eagerly await how far the country’s representatives this year Butterphly and JJ will reach. This is the period which will see audiences glued to their screens for this 63 day journey.
Furthermore, ZiJudgement Yard’s finest, DJ Flevah, will also be playing in the Big Brother house on Friday October 31 .

Is Tayo Bubbly Loud Or Real?

You know I am always telling you how a Big Brother Super fan  I am.  I have lived to watch many seasons with different characters from different walks of life in that one house. I get to know someone who acts for cameras and someone who   is real. It is just four days  and people have started  accusing Nigeria’s Tayo of being loud, all over  the  place and poking his nose into things that don’t concern him.
Here is my say on the dude. Oh before  I tell you, did  I say that Marky 2 is one chilled and cool guy in the Hotshots? I am now telling you that and hope to regret not as time goes  on……On the first day or so  Macky2  was negative about Tayo. In his diary session, he told Biggie that Tayo is a loud mouth without substance and that since he only talks when he has something to say, Tayo is a bit of a chunky pill to swallow.
A day later, it was the same Zambian lad  telling Biggie that yes Tayo talks but he thinks he’s wrong about the guy being loud  as he is just Tayo who says what he wants to say and in a real spirit. Now this one made me love Macky2 more and made him  a homie and best Hotshot. Apparently, he went to Tayo to actually have a conversation and he was surprised that they had good content….Since then, he finds some five minutes at least to hang with Tayo every day.  This is one guy I want hanging around Tayo as much as possible
I therefore stand on  two black legs to  defend Tayo that he is a real dude who says the truth you don’t want to hear! On a normal day I might write what pleases everyone but when I switch to the real day, it will be the real sh%t coming to you. I am not taking  a stand for Nigeria but I am throwing more light about Tayo and you never know we might see some other real characters of his kind mushrooming during the 63  days stay  in Biggie’s house.
Hey, Did you read that article when  I was talking about the Tayo and Arthur fight? Frankie and Ellah had a part to play in adding fury to the fire but I wonder how they are  feeling when they see that Tayo has apologised to Arthur and things are back to cool! This is why they warn people about taking front row seats in other people’s arguments. Even though I still wonder what Tayo said during his apology/explanation, it’s not an issue as long as they are now talking.
At the end of the day, every human being is entitled to their opinion, what is yours?
For those on my side, I expect comments down there and this…Hand Clapping Hands Clapping Applause Fist Bump Sarcastic applause Rocking stickman

Flirt alert

Thursday

Conversation was flowing in the house, as the housemates took it easy with a late-night snack. Samantha was getting passionate with a heart-to-heart, although Laveda was hardly captivated and Sheillah’s focus was elsewhere.  It turned out to be Nhlanhla receiving her undivided attention, as they edged closer and closer together. Things got interesting when they started chatting to Mira, proposing a double date with her and Luis. Sheillah became more and more touchy-feely as the night progressed, happily draping herself over Nhlanhla.
Outside, JJ and M’am Bea struck up an intimate exchange, talking about finding love. She seemed to be turning into a motherly figure, having chatted heartily to Luis earlier in the evening as well. Kacey Moore, chilling in bed, was chatting to Resa, already cosy in her pyjamas. It seemed to be all talk, no action between the housemates. Were they holding back as part of their strategy? Gauging the situation is part of the game, and none of the representatives want to make the wrong move.
But as they headed into the early hours of the morning, and the drinks kept coming, the housemates let down their guard. They had already been pairing up in various assortments. Tayo and Samantha seemed to have a thing going, but after the party she barely acknowledged him, rather carrying on with her spirited discussions. Some relationships may end up being merely platonic, or perhaps strategy, but as for the flying sparks, were they a budding romance or fatal attraction?
Sheillah was worried it could have been the latter. After flirting with Nhlanhla all evening she started pushing him away as he moved in for a kiss. He managed to rain a gentle shower of caresses on her forehead, but it went no further. Will the kiss happen? Africa is waiting on the edge of their seats.
